Will Britton - John Biscoe, 1950's -   Cheltenham. Trying to find any information about my Uncle Will Britton who travelled to the Falkland Islands on the John Biscoe. I am trying to establish the circumstances of his untimely death there. Any info would be appreciated! Jan 09

I am trying to trace my family, I do know that between the years my Uncle was Captain on her (John Biscoe) at least 1950 (1950-1965?) but not sure for how long. Anyone that remembers him will know that he suffered (land sickness) from spending many years at sea, this resulted in the break up of his marriage to my fathers sisters daughter. I wish to trace his name at the time (she will not speak) and anyone that knew him. My daughter is so desperate to know something that will draw our family back together. Help please anyone - thank you Paul Marshall - Wakefield, UK   Dec 09

Davy Simmons (Trawler Bill). (1951 or 1952)  email  Sandness, Shetland. Trying to trace Peter Lee Page Croft 2nd officer on board John Biscoe 1951-1952 or any of the crew at that time.
