If you're looking for a hotel in Antarctica for your holiday to the southernmost continent, I'm afraid you are going to be disappointed as there aren't any.

Antarctica is the most pristine continent on earth, the only permanent settlements are scientific stations that are run by the national governments of 30 states (and counting). It is not possible to journey there by arranging your on travel and then sourcing accommodation separately in the way that you might do to any other destination in the world.

The good news however is that it is possible to visit Antarctica on a variety of cruise ships with a range of passenger numbers, and of different levels of comfort or luxury with an assortment of itineraries.
