I went for traditional materials having seen lots of other travellers in the Arctic in "performance" synthetic clothing previously. The Barbour Sylkoil waxed cotton jacket and moleskin trousers I'm dressed in here served me well the whole trip. My wife went for the modern bright-colored big-labels look and was just as comfortable if a little less sophisticated (though I say so myself!).
This is me with an "I was there" shot.
