It was quite a surreal scene standing on the finest softest slit you can imagine, the result of rock being finely ground by the glaciers movement and surrounded by blocks of ice the size of vans while the sun slowly moved to light it all up into a dazzling array of blues and whites (ok I know there's only one white as such, but you get the idea).
