Valley of the Flowers - Greenland

The flora changes from broad-leaved plants to a lush carpet of mosses in the valley bottom where the water drains in countless small streams to the larger stream that leads down the valley. I was struck by the contrast, this was a landscape on a vast scale with countless hills, mountains, valleys, nameless peaks and bays and also a landscape on the miniature scale at ground level with many species of plants competing with each other in a forest 3-4 inches high.
