Kulusuk- Sled Dogs - East Greenland

There are many sled dogs tethered around the village for the summer months. While some (a very small minority) are taken out and exercised regularly, many are simply left there, they are fed and watered but are regarded as working beasts and not as pets, so they simply have to while away the long weeks and months until it's time again to start hauling sleds in the winter.
