Fid getting the grips in. As time has gone by the relative cost of taking a picture has dropped. At the time this picture was taken light meters weren't so great and each exposure relatively expensive, so recording exposure details in a notebook in order to learn how to get it right was a good way of avoiding the mistakes and learning as you go.
