John "Percy" Edwards (Base H, Signy Island - South 1967 to 1970) - Shirley Solihul  West Midlands UK   I was a botanist studying the 2 Antarctic flowering plants hence nicknamed after TV's Mr Percy Thrower!  Also pleased to see that an article I wrote years ago on a man-hauling trip we did to climb the Sandefjord Peaks has ended up on this site: preserved forever in cyberspace.

Les Banks-Irvine (Signy, John Biscoe - 1977-1980) - Barmouth Wales   Signy as boatman / builder, and then a years as 4th engineer on the Biscoe.

Ted Evans (summer 72/73 - South Georgia, Halley, Signy) - Yorkshire   Worked on south G slipway with Big Al.. then new base at Halley & then to Signy (genny shed base) where I broke my leg & had a nice voyage back with my leg in plaster.

Terry Whitaker (Base H, John Biscoe, Bransfield) -  Bentham UK - 2 winters 1971-74 on Signy Island. Served on Bransfield as supernumerary 1974 & 1976 but mainly as a biologist on the John Biscoe 1975 to 1983. Have just bought the John Biscoe ships launch. Look out for an update on this project.

Ray Stirton (Signy 79/82, Bransfield, J Biscoe) - Perth, Scotland   Just read that Bransfield was scrapped, such a sad feeling as many a fun night with Fids and crew.
