Midwinter bar on the sea ice

The Ice Bar. Not so much a tradition as an idea that seems to come up independently with almost every generation of Fids. "Pub" crawls were a way to pass a Friday evening with bars set up at various places around the base. One of these was usually some kind of ice bar it seems from the number of photographs I've seen of them. Sometimes it was just a bar, sometimes the bar was inside an igloo.
