1962 - If my memory serves me correctly, this would have been an awkward picture to get involving much scrambling over awkward rocks to get in position. The back-slope can be easily seen here, in particular the relatively smooth area that was using for skiing and sledging. Above the back slope that leads to the right is "Obs" or Observation Hill, a short distance as the crow flies, but like anywhere on Signy a disproportionate amount of effort to climb up. The view on climbing the hill however is as spectacular as ever.
