Is that enough or would you like a little more? Food is one of the things that people are most curious about when asking about life in Antarctica. Quantity was never a problem neither was quality up to a point, the only problem being the lack of fresh food once the summer stocks had rapidly become depleted after last call had left.
There was any amount of frozen, tinned, dried or otherwise preserved food with the beef usually being particularly good as stocks were bought in South American ports by the ships as they were south-bound.
