William Spiers Bruce, Scottish National Antarctic Expedition on the ship Scotia, 1902 - 1904.
1904 - The Scottish National Antarctic Expedition hands over the expedition base on Laurie Island to Argentina. It is renamed Orcadas and is the longest continually manned base in Antarctica, still in use to the present day.
